Walker Road Rubble gets Cleared

HEAVY EQUIPMENT ON SITE AND PICKING

Finally. One year ago this Flag Depot site across the street from the Walkerville Fire Department burned completely to the ground. It has since sat as an ugly and dangerous pile of rubble while the courts gleaned through evidence related to the arson.

The shovels, bins and trucks have finally arrived and are picking through the salvagables. The blocks, beams and bricks should be away by the end of next week.

So now the Beer store gets some added parking. Macdonald & White; Walkervilles's own historic paint factory and outlet is now going to have to paint the north side of their building. Great place for some murals what? Let's see if Doug is paying attention.

Great, I am glad it is finally being cleaned up.

The sight of the burned out rubble has been a blight at that corner for far too long. It was understandable why it had to be, but good news that they're now clearing away the debris.
