The outlook for Windsor just got better. On page two of today's Windsor Star this article:
Psychic sees better times in Windsor's future
Windsor Star

Psychics are predicting better things for Windsor this year.
According to seer Linda Doyle -- who will be one of the stars of the Windsor Psychic Expo taking place Jan. 11 to 13 -- three or four large companies are interested in investing in the city.
Doyle says that investment will pay off. Over the summer, a "very attractive, famous male actor," with the letters "C" and "W" in his name, will take part in an entertainment production. And if a bylaw allowing smoking in a new section or building of the casino is passed, American gamblers will return, she added.
Dennis DesRosiers was dismissed by the Mayor as an annual nuisance and mention of his address to The Windsor Home Builder's Association was relegated to the bowels of the business section of the Windsor Star. Windsor's new analyst was written up on page two of the front section. What spirited news for Windsor.

Thank god for Linda Doyle, except I suspect that the mayor had a talk with her about her "public statements" prior to this interview.
The photo must have been taken before the "W" was pasted on her chest
Christopher Walken is coming to Windsor? This summer, the streets and avenues of the downtown core will come alive with the sound of more cow bell.
The omnipotent minds behind The Windsor Star must be playing a game amongst themselves, the winner of said game being the player who wastes the most time/resources on a story. Dennis gets dismissed, but A PSYCHIC receives front page exposure? Is The Windsor Star trying to promote the casino's new convention center? Windsor's "news factory" (that's how Vander Doelen justifies being a CAW member) needs upgrades.
MORE COW BELLS...PLEASE! That's all we need. MORE COW BELLS!
I am sure Eddie would listen to her before he would listen to Mr. Desrosier. The Star and the city are the biggest joke in Canada..we didn't get the label of armpit of Canada for nothing.
Hey Mayor what are you going to do about all the new Trucks going down Walker Road since they won't be allowed down Dougall.
Ha Ha
We in South Windsor love our Dink.
I don't see Walker Road being impacted too much one way or another. Trucks using Walker are already servicing a fixed client base which by the way is getting smaller
(in number and in volume). Also, as one travels north there are fewer destinations for transports. I think the transport problem is more acute for both Walker and Dougall northbound up to the expressway. This obviously impacts residents of South Windsor hence the relative concern. Once the new Bridge opens up with six lanes and improved infrastructure trucks will stay on the 401 to DRIC/Greenway directly to the border as that will be the path of least resistance. One way or another I don't see added problems for current north, south arteries. Especially once the additional offramp to Manning is completed. This will relieve yet more pressure on the existing north/south arteries. All moot anyway if we are ramping up to be a retirement haven.
