Whats the mattter with this guy. I want something big! Like Greenlink, high power, out of town lawyers and consultants. He has no canal vision and he doesn't want to build a city within an airport. He's not taunting the unions and pissing off other governments. Where is the entertainment in that?
Mr. Big, I fail to see how blight has anything to do with canals or fighting against entrenched union mentality in this city.
In fact I believe that the above fends off blight from those (not all) that don't do their jobs properly (remember the blight in the parks and on boulevards?). The canal adds a new dimension to downtown whcih removes the blight of decades old parking lots.
What really is needed is teh reallocation of resources to get more by-law officers and schedule accordingly.
I fail to see how a canal would replace the parking lots that have served as placeholders for an Arena. Promises made long ago and still in the heart of the Windsor people.
Yes, it was dreams long before the mayor's family came to Canada, but these dreams of our people are important and cannot be fulfilled with this Dubai copycat vision of a relative newcomer.
This "entrenched union mentality" that you speak of is also a tradition of fair play for the worker surf in the kingdom. As you choose to speak of it as something evil, I can't help but ask, what is in it for you? Must be money. Money for you alone stripped from the backs of the working poor.
Contrary to local media PR work and the anti-Canadian mayor, there IS money to be made with having a healthy unionized workforce. Rather than work on the "health" part, seems it is "expedient" to work on the annihilation of the race. Something wrong there imo.

I think Mr. Big is just having a little fun with this. Lets keep our knickers on straight.
