Refine Fitness Studio - Lose 201 lbs. in 12 Weeks


Refine Fitness Studio owner Mike Bates is excited to announce the commencement of the new Health and Wellness Speaker Series beginning on Wednesday January 27th at 7:15pm at Refine Fitness Studio in Olde Walkerville.

The first topic is “How to Lose 20lbs in 12 Weeks.” This series of lectures is open to the general public – free of charge. Lead by local experts, the aim of the Speaker Series is to provide continuing education on health, fitness, and well-being issues. Lecture topics range from fitness tips, nutrition strategies, weight loss, diabetes management, and much more.

Lectures take place on Wednesday evenings or Saturday afternoons (refer to schedule for exact times at www.refinefitness.ca/speakerseries). Each lecture runs 45-55 minutes long and is followed by a question period open to all attendees.

Located at 1623 Wyandotte St. E, Refine Fitness Studio is a fitness club directed towards adults and busy professionals. As a teacher in the Kinesiology Department at the University of Windsor, Mike has surrounded himself with the best group of personal trainers in the area. They are committed to not only educating themselves, but the community as a whole.

Wow...two hundered and one pounds? I know, I know...it's a typo. But, what a good idea the fitness studio has. Very beneficial to all.

That's right from the horses mouth. May be quite doable. It works out to 2.39 pounds per day. May be worth looking into. Free seminars...Call the phone number and find out.

Then it is Refine Fitness Studio's typo. Look at the first sentence of the second paragraph...somebody looked at "20lbs" as in twenty pounds and mistakenly transcribed it as "201 lbs". Gees...!

I'd be happy with 20 lbs - 201 must be a typo because nobody can lose over 2 pounds per day consistently for 12 weeks. To do so would be very rare and very, very dangerous.

Even 20 lbs in 12 weeks would be very good. Averages out to between 1 1/2 pounds - 2 pounds per week - a good, healthy weight loss. Now, if I can only get my Tony Little Gazelle out of the garage and into the house...hint, hint!!

Thanks for this post. I went to the lecture and it was great-- geared more to beginners though. Mike is a great speaker (you can tell he's a university prof!).

I went too - quite motivating. Does anyone have a rough idea of how much a membership costs at Refine?
