2007 Monmouth Alley Party a Dismal Failure

Just kidding about the failure part. Anybody in attendance knows it went a little better than that.
This block party has been improving every year thanks to the dedicated volunteers who make it happen. Thanks goes out to Rob who did a spectacular job of designing and building the bar (bigger and better than ever). Thanks also goes out to the crew who took care of all logistics and details (Sarah, John, Marco, Laura, Rob, Liz, Rand, Jeff, to name a few). Thanks to all surrounding neighbours who let us use their garages, carports and drives for the event. Thanks to Les for the electrical and lighting and thanks to all of the neighbours who went out of their way to make all of the tasty culinary goodies. Special thanks to Rand for his help with the bar and for his help in cooking and carving up the roast beast. As usual he supplied electricity for the event (thanks to Harry for his electrical contribution as well) and Rand was also on the scene early for clean-up the next day. Special thanks also goes out to George for supplying the music and sound for the event.
What can be said? With neighbours like these, who needs best friends. Monmouth Road would also like to extend out thanks to the many guests we had from all over the place. You helped make our block party a true success.
P.S...A lot of cameras were clicking that night. If anybody wishes to contribute some pics please forward them to: MOMnews@hotmail.com
See you out there everyone!

I hope there wasn't both music and dancing...that isn't an acceptable use! :) (of course I jest).

I am suprised the city didn't come and inpsect the food or make sure there was no dancing AND music. You know you can't have BOTH!

This gives me an idea (if I may steal it) for my neighbourhood next year. What a wonderful way to promote neighbourhood goodwill and unification.

do we have new neighbours ?

We got more than new neighbours at the party.

Most of the time the ratio of neighbours to partiers was 1/5. It's got big. Used to be a Monmouth Party. Now it's a Windsor Party. Next year a Tri-County Party. Next year lets have a band, fireworks and a VIP room so neighbours can chat with each other instead of shouting over a crowd.

Let's thank all those people that worked behind the scenes so Windsor
had a rockin good time.

Brandon and Harry too!

When the Windsor Utilities Commission submits a bill next month the Rand Utilities Commissiom will pass it along to the Monmouth Road Pig Roast and Alley Party Finance Committee via The Mayor of Monmouth Blog.

Another Great Party!

Keep us posted Dave!

Well I didn't really help with the bar except leaning on it, passing Rob tools and making comments of advise and nonsense that were sure to be annoying :) Did the same 3 things when he took it down :)

All Kudos to Rob!

You guys have a totally cool neighbourhood! You can't even get neighbours on most other streets to talk to each other, least of all party en masse. Well done!
